AEE590/690 GRADUATE SEMINAR SCHEDULE

    AE590/690 Lectures

  • There will be three lectures about academic improvement in this semester. Students who are enrolled to AEE 590 and AEE 690 are required to attend 2/3 of these lectures.
    • Academic Writing Guide (9th May 2025 at 18:00)
    • Effective Presentation Guide (16th May 2025 at 18:00)
    • Academic Research Guide (22nd May 2025 at 18:00)
  • Each lecture will be about an hour. Lectures will be held at AE Department Seminar Room.

    AE590/690 Seminar Schedule

  • Presenting students should pick a slot for their presentation and invite three faculty members to serve in the committee in the coordination with their supervisors.
  • Students will have a maximum of 20 minutes allocated to their presentation: 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions. Therefore, the number of slides should not exceed 15. There will be a 10-minute buffer between the talks.
  • Students taking the AE590 course should attend at least 60% of the presentations given in addition to their talks. Students taking the AE690 course should attend all of the presentations given in addition to their talks.
    If your final examinations are scheduled to take place during the same time slot as the seminars, you will be granted an exemption from attending those presentations given.
  • Registered students who fail to give a presentation or achieve satisfactory performance in their talks will fail the course with an "unsatisfactory" (U) grade.
  • Students who fail the course within four semesters will be dismissed from the graduate program.
  • Presentations will be given in person at the department in AE128.
  • The use of any electronic devices such as mobile phone, personal computer or tablet is prohibited during others presentation.
