ELECTIVE COURSES

  • Technical Elective Courses
    Aerospace Engineering students have to take 4 Technical Elective courses during their undergraduate education. Only one of them can be taken from another department. Only 3XX and 4XX level courses can be taken as a Technical Elective. Non-AE Technical Elective courses must be approved by the undergraduate program committee before the advisor approval.

    Having the approval of the instructor and satisfiying the prerequisites, students may take any of the departmental courses announced below:

  • Non-Technical Elective Courses
    Aerospace Engineering students have to take 2 Non-Technical Elective Course during their undergraduate education. Registration to a Non-Technical Elective Course requires the approval of the course instructor and the related department. For the approval process, a form needs to be signed by the student's advisor. Having the approval of the instructor and satisfying the prerequisites students may take any of the courses announced below:


  • Free Elective Courses
    Aerospace Engineering students have to take 1 Free Elective Course during their undergraduate education. All the courses offered in METU can be considered as a Free Elective Course provided that they are of at least 3 credits. To take the course the approval of the instructor may be needed.
