Catalog description:
Students are required to perform a minimum of 4-week (20 working days) summer practice, preferably in an aircraft or aircraft engine factory, or civilian or military aircraft/helicopter maintenance facility. The students must take part in machine shop related activities either through research contributions or help to the technicians/engineers in machining parts or overhauling engines, etc. At the end of the summer practice the students must write a technical report in their own words discussing the activities they have carried out during this period.
Course objectives/goals:
To introduce students to practical applications
of aeronautical engineering, and expose them to real working engineering
environment to get hands-on experience.
